Saturday morning was spent at Liebermann’s Pottery painting. A good number of sketchers turned up this time. One even traveling from as far off as Pretoria! Finding it really exciting seeing enthusiastic artists join the group.
I was so inspired by the Old Gas Works building I didn’t even get round to sketching any of the actual pottery! Decided to post my painting here chopped in half as it makes it more interesting I think. Like the effects the water colour makes on the paper on the bottom half.
Check out what the rest of the group did on the Joburg Sketchers Facebook album for that day. Certainly hope to return there again someday for more sketching.

I like your drawing John, and separating the window section was a good idea to show the detail of the windows. What a unique building with different planes and tones ! Well done :)
